Self Raising Wholemeal Flour | Stoneground Organic Flour 1kg

The stoneground texture is noticeably finer than standard wholemeal, which made my scones beautifully light. A teaspoon extra of baking powder wouldn't go amiss for taller scones, but solid results overall.

My scones came out with a lovely rise and soft crumb, though I did need to add a splash more milk than usual. The stoneground texture is noticeably nicer than standard white flour.

The raising agents in this flour worked well for scones, though I expected a slightly lighter crumb for cakes. It's fine for everyday baking, but I've had better results with other wholemeal flours for muffins.
